This comment is directed at the organizer of the WAYS-ROA Launch.I like to draw your attention to the issue of agelimit of less than 40yrs for participation.Is this to mean that young scientists are less than 40yrs old?If this is true for other regions of the world, it is not true for Africa and particularly the West African subregion. Most of us had had our adeucation self-sponsored without any governmental fund or any sort of sponsorship. To get a PhD therefore takes a longer time. Moreover, grants for research works are most of the time not available and so many are late starters.I wish this issue can be addressed to accomodate more scientists in this group.
