National Conference on Control of Power
Electronic Drives and Systems will be organized
by Andhra University,Visakhapatnam, Andra
Pradesh,India from 30 to 31 May 2010

This two day conference, with more than 50 presenters from over 12 countries as well as reading events planned for the days surrounding the conference, aims to address the problematic of translation as it is applied specifically to the study, teaching, research and dissemination of intellectual information within the various disciplines of the Humanities. The goal is to re-examine political, cultural and social constructions in the context of, and as they are related to, translation and translation theory within the Social Sciences. Within the context of such interrogation, papers being presented will examine literary, theoretical, philosophical or other works as well as ideas regarding cultural conversion of texts or how the practice of translation might dislodge binary constructs of cultural and national identities which assume essence, fixity, and hierarchy.
