By karaugm2Though lack of funds is the major bottle neck hindering development of young scientists from Africa, I still assert that we need to develop capacity to write grants that can be funded by international bodies. The major challenge here is the few research facilities which limits exposure and actualization of vast scientific ideas we may be having. I would like our governments to change research policy and give research a first priority. This is perhaps by promoting setting up of private research facilities and scaling up those already set.
Many young scientists will have an opportunity to learn and experiment. Valuable scientific data will be generated. Our work will attract alot of fundings. But the starting point should be what is the first requirement -- funds or research facilities?

By AdebayoOlusegunI quite agree that Africans are talented with brains. It is therefore my desire that our governments rise up to take the challenge of assisting we young ones, especially those of us who have taken research as our duties in developing our nations,in getting both grants and facilities from international bodies.
Funds and research
By akhyarFunds and research facilities are interlinked with each other. Each developing country should give priority and focus concentration on science & technology but we should also search for funding form international organizations, individually, to overcome and reduce the fundig problem.

By Chidi IgweIn as much as we look and dream of great innovations in Africa, we can but worry given the lack of funds and research facilities that confront us. Government and international organisations should assist us with funds and inter-university exposures.

By ifeAfrica is bleseed with young talented scientist. So much so it is blessed with resources to be able to fund researches. It think African goverments should stop paying lip services to issues of education.
