TWAS on Nature this week

Dr. Hassan has put together a very nice piece in this week's Nature journal.

Making strong points for how the world has changed since the inception of TWAS, he mentions the fact that while changes are taking place, challenges to go with the changes are affecting people in the areas. He comments upon the success of India, China, and Brazil, but also indicates that there is still a key role for TWAS. This is a nice overview with detailed points on the economics that have also brought prosperity to a growing middle class. Importantly, points are made about the trade-offs incurred as 'development' takes place.
