The Department of Computing Science at Umeå University

position as Assistant Professor (forskarassistent) in Computing
Science, and one position as Assistant Professor (forskarassistent) in
Scientific Computing.
The position in Computing Science is open for applicants within the
entire range of the subject. The evaluation of applicants will be
based on scientific quality, taking into account the strategic needs
of the department and also the potential for active collaboration with
existing research groups.
The position in Scientific Computing aims to strengthen the
department's recently launched initiative in computational design.
This research area concerns the problem of determining the shape or
the material composition of an object in order to satisfy a given set
of requirements. The research area includes also a direction towards
inverse problems.
