RESEARCH INTERESTS, • Polymer Hydrogels and Modification: Hydrogels from natural fibers base are my main interest. My current research activities comprise superabsorbent polymer (SAP), (nano) composite hydrogels and interpenetrating polymer network (IPN), • Natural Polymers from renewable resources such as polysaccharides (cellulose, chitin, starch, natural gums, ----) and proteins (gelatin, collagen, ----) are interested to be modified (via chemical grafting, IPN formation, etc) or combined to achieve water soluble/swellable materials with improved properties., • Agropolymers: I am interested in synthesis of polymers to curb drought in farming and for drugs, pesticides and agrochemicals delivery., • Polymer matrix/filler interactions: I am interested in the use of fillers from renewable materials for the synthesis of value –added polymer products
