- Bio
Having studied biophysics and some related subjects, I gained experimental and theoretical experience in the study of biological systems at most levels of organisation, using a range of physicochemical methods. Over the last years, I have focused on the application of Magnetic Resonance techniques to the study of biological phenomena like cell division, drug uptake, embryogenesis, fossilisation, insect hibernation and music perception. Currently, I am with the Structural Brain Mapping Group at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena to study brain morphological alterations in schizophrenic patients and across species. I strive to do my research and teaching in the open as far as possible.
